Pink Pink Wins the Cat Lottery ..Adopted by the Best Family
A Brief Note from her new family: "We just wanted you to know how much we love Pink! She is such a classic,
awesome cat. (Still doesn't get along with our other cat, Lulu, yet; but that may never happen, as Lulu is extremely timid and always has
been.....)
Just a quick update. Pink is quite the pig, as you may remember. She's
up over 13 pounds, now. We have her on a low fat diet, but sometimes she sneaks a quick nibble of Lulu's food, which is hidden away on the cellar
stairs. She makes it very well known if her food bowl is empty; no need
to speak "cat" to understand what she is saying. Sometimes she will sit in front of her empty bowl for hours, most likely chanting some kind of
magic spell - hoping that food will magically appear. It is very
comical.
Pink loves to be wherever we are. It is very satisfying; she is the
ultimate house cat! Thank you, again!
Roo Returned January 2009: Roo has finally found her purrfect home. While she had a great PAWS foster mom, Roo did yearn for a permanent place of her own. Roos' foster mom, Sandy, recently received a thoughtful card from Marie, Roo's new human. Marie says that Roo has settled in very nicely. She follows Marie and talks to her and curls up on her lap. Roo is a wonderful companion and gets along with Marie's other cat and dog. Marie expressed her gratitude to PAWS for giving her a new life. PAWS is forever thankful for loving people like Marie, who find places in their homes and their hearts for these animals. Roo has finally come home.
Vesta December 2008: One of our foster moms recently received a warm and thoughtful email about two of her former feline kids, Vesta and St. Pete. Mary and Ted, the cats' new human parents, are according to Vesta and St. Pete, the "cat's pajamas". Life could not be more divine for the furry twosome. See for yourself:
Just to let you know, Vesta and St. Pete are doing well. They both enjoyed the summer and being walked on their leashes around the back yard. We had to get an extension for their leashes because they competed with each other re: who could climb the trees faster. Lately, they've taken to swatting at winter moths in the evening when the moths crowd around the front door with its nearby light. We made little worm-like creatures from pipe cleaners for them; Petey likes to have them attached to his fishing pole so we can fish with him and Vesta is still as adept as ever at tossing them around the house. Vesta is a dear companion. Although she prefers not to be a lap cat, she loves to always be near by and prefers a morning and evening hug or a gentle rub of her belly. She is very happy that her picture appeared on the PAWS web site as a success story. Oh, she still loves to play behind the shower curtain. Before we go to bed at night, she has a ritual; we play a game of who can pat the others paws/fingers first at the edge of the bed.
St. Pete St. Pete was adopted with Vesta by Mary and Ted. Petey is a full grown boy now; he's the handsome dude next to the hammock box. He's loves to nestle on Ted's lap at the end of a busy day but only after he says hi to Mary's lap to warm up his paws; he believes in equal time for both Ted and Mary. Being a firm believer in keeping his muscles exercised, he's always full of action jumping from furniture to furniture or running around the house, playing tag with us as well as hide and seek.
Galway 10-05-08 Email Update From Foster Mom:I got a call from the woman, who adopted Galway and Mayo. She reported that they are happy and healthy, and have settled in beautifully. They chase each other all over the house and watch TV with their new mom and dad. They also have a nice 3-season porch where they can sit and safely watch birds. Noreen and her husband say they are so happy to have the two of them, (now called Bailey and Brie), and are glad they took the pair. Both kittens are much more outgoing and affectionate now.Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
