Vesta
Vesta

December 2008: One of our foster moms recently received a warm and thoughtful email about two of her former feline kids, Vesta and St. Pete. Mary and Ted, the cats' new human parents, are according to Vesta and St. Pete, the "cat's pajamas".

Life could not be more divine for the furry twosome. See for yourself:

The contents of the email were:

Just to let you know, Vesta and St. Pete are doing well. They both enjoyed the summer and being walked on their leashes around the back yard. We had to get an extension for their leashes because they competed with each other re: who could climb the trees faster. Lately, they've taken to swatting at winter moths in the evening when the moths crowd around the front door with its nearby light. We made little worm-like creatures from pipe cleaners for them; Petey likes to have them attached to his fishing pole so we can fish with him and Vesta is still as adept as ever at tossing them around the house.

Vesta is a dear companion. Although she prefers not to be a lap cat, she loves to always be near by and prefers a morning and evening hug or a gentle rub of her belly. She is very happy that her picture appeared on the PAWS web site as a success story. Oh, she still loves to play behind the shower curtain. Before we go to bed at night, she has a ritual; we play a game of who can pat the others paws/fingers first at the edge of the bed.

Vesta and St. Pete are wonderfully fun to watch and play with. Thank you again for being such a terrific foster mom to them both.
