Happy is a very independent old guy who does make time in his busy schedule to sit on his foster mom's lap and purr up a storm for her. He also loves to sleep with her - but he doesn't like the competition of the other cats in his foster home. Luckily he has several favorite spots to rotate his napping routine! But it is a top priority to show up for meals! And he loves to take a stroll outside at least once a day. to curl up in his favorite sunny spots and eat an outdoor snack on the back yard deck. He was an only cat and allowed outside to rule his block of downtown Waltham, until his owner passed away. When his first dad realized he was dying, he asked a social worker to find a new home for his cat - and she knew a PAWS volunteer! Happy needed some vet care at that point, but now his health is stable with a little help from affordable meds mixed right into a bit of his wet food. He does fine with sweet, submissive cats who know he has to be the boss. No dogs please - he has been known to lunge at any poor dog silly enough to disturb Happy's front yard rule!
Please come visit this funny old man - he will purr and nuzzle even the first time he greets you! If you could consider an older true love, he is worth risking the surprise of your family and friends that you chose to have a May-December romance. OR maybe you too are a senior with good years of love left to give? Happy would love to be the ruler of your heart and home!
