Black Gold is miraculously starting his life again. In the spring of 2005 he appeared in a large colony of cats - wearing a pink collar! When no kittens appeared, this cat was assumed to be a spayed female who had "gone feral." As an outsider, Black Gold was tolerated but never able to eat his fill or fully relax. When the PAWS volunteer feeding there was able to trap him, what a surprise was hidden under his fur! Black Gold is probably the reason a new litter of kittens appeared! Black Gold recovered from his neutering and once his foster mother let him roam freely, he took over the house, full of mischief. He was a bit too confident at first, so his best friends are the sweeties, like Flood and Beyonce, with whom he has cleaning fests. He is now looking so handsome, as his fur grows in to feel like black velvet. When he was outdoors, his fur painfully matted so he went in for a cute summer lion cut, with a big ruff around his gorgeous face, fluffy booties, and a pom pom tail! With people he is curious and affectionate, though he gets squirmy if he's carried too much - he'd rather follow you around like a little dog! Then he'll climb right up on your chest to keep you company in bed. He is so ideal for working folks, independent when you're busy and affectionate when you have time to cuddle but not demanding or needy.
