Broccoli is a handsome, chirpy, curious cat who likes to be near you wherever you are. He's a big boy with a big appetite who demands breakfast and dinner. He enjoys chasing little balls around the house, pouncing on shadows, cuddling with his catnip toy, and bird watching. He is often found lounging belly up in his various beds, fully sprawled out with his little paws curled in the air. He is affectionate and he likes to be petted and brushed. He would be perfect for someone who is not looking for a lap cat - although he may get there eventually.  He takes his time to warm up and will hide from strangers, loud noises and vacuums. 

At times, his left eye can be weepy with some discharge.  This doesn't seem to bother him and the vet was unconcerned.  This seems to come and go and may be aggravated by stressful situations.
 
Broccoli would do well with a buddy cat or as a solo. He has co-existed peacefully with his foster home's older resident cat. He has a lot more energy and sometimes his attempts to "play" are met with a warning hiss from the grumpy elder but he is not a fighter. He's an easygoing guy but he has not been exposed to dogs or younger children.
