My name is Hawkeye – named after the ace archer from the Avengers. However, the only arrows I want to shoot are those of love straight to your heart. I’m an active, playful, affectionate guy – a little skittish around new people but with patience and treats, I warm up quickly.  Once I’ve checked you out, I’ll roll over on my back and let you pet me all over.  I love that!!  I also love toys -- especially things on strings.  I’ll run and jump and chase endlessly.

I’m not a lap cat but I do like being picked up and held while you pet me and scratch my ears.  I’ll purr and purr!  The one unusual thing you should know about me is I just LOVE to talk.  I’ll talk to you at all times of the day and sometimes at night.  Sometimes I talk to myself – loudly.  I’m told I rival the voice of a Siamese cat.

I do get along very well with other cats.  My foster home has four adult cats and I’m cool with that though we don’t interact much.  My foster mom is cat sitting a 7 month old male kitten who is active like me.  I like playing and wrestling with him, so I would do best in a home with another cat close to my age. However, I do think I would also be okay in a home with older cats as long as a human is home enough to pet me and play with me. 

So I’ll wait in my foster home polishing my arrows of love.  Will yours be the heart my arrows fly to?
