Dalbergia is a petite, gentle, sweet, playful kitten – a little shy with people.  She was found as a stray outside in a lumber yard, so her shyness is understandable but once she gets to know you, she loves to be held and will purr and rollover for belly rubs in your lap.  You do occasionally have to “remind” her that she is safe with you but the more you do that, the more confident she becomes. She still needs some human socializing, so she needs humans who are home more often than not. 

Dalbergia is living with many other cats in her foster home and gets along with them very well.  But she does not interact with them – she is not one to wrestle with them or seek them out for play or attention.  Given that, she would be fine as an only cat provided she has lots of toys to play with and humans who will play with and cuddle her. She can also go to a home with other cats as long as she is not expected to be a playful buddy to another cat. Her favorite toys are feathers on a string and anything she can bat across the floor, especially squeaky mice!

She may also be okay with a cat-friendly dog if introduced properly and patiently. 

Dalbergia is a wonderful little girl looking for a home that will help her become more confident around humans.  While she is gentle enough for kids, she will do better in a home with older children and that is not noisy or chaotic.
