Wedge is a 6 month old active, playful boy.  He is named after a Star Wars rebel fighter pilot and, like his namesake, he is bold, fearless and fast. He loves to play with anything that moves (or that he can make move!) – especially feathers on a string.  He leaps three feet in the air to catch them!  Wedge needs lots of exercise and will run and run and run around the house. Since he did not grow up with other cats, he is still learning how to properly interact with them.  The cats in his foster home are gently and patiently teaching him. However, he does seem to be okay by himself and could probably be a solo cat though only with lots of play time from his humans.  He may also be okay with an active buddy cat who will run with him.  The buddy cat would have to be young, mellow, friendly and used to other cats.

Wedge is affectionate with people and warms up to them quickly. He should be okay around young children since he is not an aggressive or destructive kitten.  However, he is not a good match for anyone with mobility issues.  He can be a tripping hazard.  While friendly, he is not a lap cat and only tolerates being picked up. 

Wedge is curious and will explore everywhere including through open doors.  He is what we call a door darter – he is through an open door faster than you can blink!  That means his humans will have to be especially careful he does not escape outside.  Ideally, his new home will have two or three blocks to the outside.

So…..affectionate, friendly, playful, active, curious, bold, fearless…..if this is what you’re looking for in a kitten, maybe Wedge is the one for you.  May the Force Be With You!
