Some pets come to PAWS and are adopted quickly to new homes. But others stay within the PAWS network much longer, and for a variety of reasons, not the least is age of the animal.  

Many come to PAWS with immediate medical issues. Some have chronic care needs that will continue throughout their lifetimes. You can make a tremendous difference for many of our PAWS pets by sponsoring one of these wonderful and worthy animals.

It's Five-Dollar-Friday and this week’s focus is on Amazing Maisie

Maisie is a beautiful buff-colored, long-haired girl who came to PAWS in May because the shelter she was in ran out of space. She is 19 and a half years old and quite a beauty. Sadly, Maisie has a brain lymphoma, making her unsuitable for adoption. She has adjusted well to her foster home with her foster parents and their young son, Little B.

Amazing Maisie

• likes to be next to us all the time. 
• will go wherever we are.
• is a very gentle girl who loves to be groomed.
• has long hair, so we are brushing her every day!
• likes to talk and loves meals.
• still plays with mouse toys and loves her scratchers!
• sleeps close to us and waits for Little B to wake up—just staring at him!

Maisie is on two medications every day and takes them with no problem. She is one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever fostered!
