To celebrate this season of thanks, and to show our appreciation of your ongoing support, we want to share this special story about Oren.

An older, scruffy, buff-and-white boy, he caught the attention of a PAWS volunteer as he showed up in her yard every day, at 3 p.m., late last summer.

It was obvious that he needed medical care, but he was too shy to come close enough to ask for help. Teaming up with some other volunteers, it took more than three months to finally get him safely inside—just before the winter cold arrived. Then it took several more months of vet appointments, TLC, and patience to nurse Oren back to health, gain his trust, and coach him out of his shell.
