Subaru of Wakefield Shares the Love with PAWS

Since 2010, PAWS (Protection of Animals in Wakefield Society, Inc.) has proudly
partnered with Subaru of Wakefield on its Share the Love campaign. Over the years, the
campaign has raised more than $100,000 for local animals in need!

The campaign helps to raise awareness and increase adoptions for homeless animals,
as well as fund much-needed medical care for rescued animals. Considering our
average vet bill is more than $5,000 a month, we are extremely grateful for Subaru of
Wakefield’s generosity in collaborating with us each year.

In addition, the funds have helped us launch our new PAWS volunteer operations center
at 411 Lowell Street in Wakefield, where pet parents can stop in with their pet-related
questions, or prospective adopters can meet our fostered felines.

Given that PAWS receives no local, state, or federal funding, and is dependent entirely
on adoption services, fundraising efforts, and kind donations from supporters, Subaru of
Wakefield’s partnership makes a significant impact on the care and services we’re able
to provide for animals in Wakefield, Reading, Lynnfield, Stoneham, and surrounding
communities.

As PAWS celebrates its 35th anniversary this year, we thank Sal Barbagallo and his
Subaru of Wakefield team for their commitment, generosity, and friendship over the
years. Together, we’re making a huge difference in the health and well-being of animals
throughout the area. We’re looking forward to kicking off the 2017 campaign with you
this fall!
