I am a playful, active young man!  I love toys, especially little toy mice and the laser light, and I love other cats.  There are two other young cats in my foster home and I run and wrestle with them.  I just love doing that!  People? They scare me.  You see, it was Christmas Eve and I was in the woods – alone, cold and hungry. A PAWS volunteer caught me and took me to a warm place with food. It felt so good but I was terrified. On the outside I’m a bold, playful guy, but on the inside I’m a big scaredy cat.  I have come a long way in trusting my foster mom.  I even let her pet me now.  When she runs her fingers up and down my back I’m in heaven and I will roll over and let her rub my belly.  But sometimes something scares me and I run away.  When new people come in the house, I run and hide and don’t come out until they leave. I must have a forever home with at least one other young, playful cat for me to wrestle and run with.  My humans will have to be very patient with me and it may take me a long time to be comfortable with them.  But the longer I’m there, the more trusting I will get. I just know it!

Foster mom notes:  Kris is a delightful little guy with “thumbs” on his front paws.  He loves my other cats but when they won’t play with him, he plays with his toys by himself.  When another cat sneaks up behind him, I have seen him jump straight up in the air about two feet.  He can be a bit of a clown.  However, he is afraid of people and he may never get to the point where he will come out when strangers are in the house. He is not aggressive just scared.  And he may never be a lap cat.  But I have seen him grow more and more comfortable with me.  It will take a lot of patience to bring out the trust in this very shy cat, but he is definitely worth it!
