Treasure is a tiny torti who was living in a boat yard with lots of feral cats. It was clear she's not the slightest bit feral - she'll march up to any human and make sure you are totally charmed. She soaks up petting and baby talk and cuddling. So we can guess she lived with a family who couldn't afford to take her to be spayed, and picked a spot known to have a lot of cats being well fed in hopes she'd find a new family who could care for her. Treasure may have been frightened by all the other colony cats, especially if she'd only lived with her litter mates and then as an only kitten. Now in her big foster home, she's still scared with other cats. But she covers up the fear and is so spunky in hissing and growling that even the biggest male Primo gives her plenty of space! On her outing to be photographed, she met a dog and seemed entirely unphased by him, a clue she may have lived with dogs In her early weeks of life. In her foster home, she has decided to just claim her favorite spots and march to her own beat. She will not let all these cats slow down her pursuit of petting, catnip and sunny napping spots! P.S. Minutes after this bio went up, a week after her arrival exactly - Treasure went up to one of the cute boy cats and gave him a kiss! She is healing and changing, a remarkable little survivor ready to start her next adventure and love again.
