Cosmo has joined his PAWS foster family in time for April vacation and you would think he'd see indoor life as his big vacation. But he is a lively "teenager" used to being the boss of his life. He is annoyed that no one will open the doors and windows to let him out - he pesters and persists, perplexed at how disobedient these people are! And he is still getting used to being constantly touched, craving it, running right over to greet and head butt you, and then getting over-stimulated, nipping a bit or batting - thankfully, without claws! This is typical adjustment behavior but can surprise someone coming to visit with him. We hope a special family will fall in love with him just as he is! He needs the space of a home and the connection with his very own people, who will help him learn they are his loving alphas who teach him about toys, petting, and relaxing indoors. We joke that Cosmo was a church cat, so we know he'll turn out to be a very good boy once he adjusts. A woman was feeding and vetting the strays at a building being reconstructed slowly by a church. The cats used to live inside the building, but the stage of construction came where they were boarded out. The cats found shelter under the many porches in the neighborhood and in old garages. But she knew it was time to search for homes for the friendly ones. Hopefully Cosmo can find his special home with you!
