Yo!  I’m Danny DeVito!  Well, at least that’s what they call me.  I’m not sure why. I don’t think I’m Italian and I’m sure I’m not from New Jersey. I’m not even that short, at least not for a beagle.  Could it be because, like the real Danny, I’m charismatic, charming, and confident?  Or maybe it’s my deep brown eyes and pleading expression?  Whatever the reason, I’m honored for the comparison, and I’m hoping it will help you see how irresistible I am.

As a typical beagle-type, I love to follow my nose and snoop around for food, fun, and friends to play with.  Yes, I do love people and other dogs, so I have a tendency to jump at the chance to meet new pals. Considering I’m not even two years old and have had very little formal training, you’ll have to excuse my less than perfect manners.  The good news is that I’m housebroken and crate trained.  And, I’m smart! My foster mom says I’ve already made progress! Now, I just need someone who can give me expert guidance and lots of practice with those basic commands that will help me to become a great companion. I know I can do it.  Will you help me? 

Do you need a co-pilot?   I will happily stay by your side all day and go along with you on errands.  I like to ride in the car.  Besides, it’s so much more fun than staying home alone where my puppy energy and innate curiosity can get me in trouble.  I’d much rather be with you.  Then, when we get home, we can continue our quality time. I absolutely adore belly rubs, and ear scratches, and all kinds of petting. 

The human Danny DeVito once said: “People come into your lives who you have a good time with, and time goes by and you still have a good time with them and you do stupid stuff with them. To me, that's life.”  Will you come into my life so we can enjoy the good times and even the stupid stuff together?  Just call PAWS and tell them you want to meet the canine Danny DeVito.  I can’t wait!  In fact, I’m so excited I could howl!
